Join us as we set aside seven days to seek God’s face together through prayer, fasting, worship, and teaching. Each gathering will focus on a different spiritual practice and help us grow in our relationship with Jesus while creating space to encounter Him in fresh ways.
Each gathering will include practical teaching, guided times of prayer, worship, and opportunities to pray over the prayer cards submitted by our church family. Whether you're new to these practices or have walked with the Lord for years, these gatherings are designed to encourage and equip you.
Prayer Gathering Schedule:
Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31—6:30 PM
Monday: Gratitude
Tuesday: Imaginative Prayer
Wednesday: Prophesy
Thursday: Meditation
Friday: Healing
Saturday, August 1—9:30 AM
Blessing
Please note that childcare will not be provided. We warmly encourage families to bring their children, especially on Saturday morning as we take time to pray a special blessing over our students and families as they prepare for the new school year.
As you prepare for 7 Days of Prayer and Fasting, we encourage you to watch this past Sunday's sermon. Whether you're new to fasting or simply need a refresher on the biblical purpose of fasting and how to prepare, this message will help you begin the week with clarity and expectation.
Prayer & Fasting Resources
Fasting
When deciding how to fast, we encourage you to seek God in prayer and follow the Holy Spirit’s leading. In Scripture, fasting involves abstaining from food for a spiritual purpose. We also understand that health needs can impact what each person is able to do. Please choose a fast that is healthy and safe for you.
Types of Fasts
Intermittent Fast: A partial fast sets aside a portion of the day to abstain from food. This could follow specific hours, such as 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, or take place from sunup to sundown.
Selective Fast: A selective fast removes certain foods from your diet. One example is the Daniel Fast, based on Daniel 1 and Daniel 10, which focuses on eating only simple foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and water.
Complete Fast: A complete fast is a set time to drink only liquids, typically water, with light juices as needed.
Reduce Distractions
Along with your fast, prayerfully consider removing anything that may be taking your attention or pulling your focus away from God. This could include phone time, television, social media, video games, or other distractions.
Scriptures on Fasting
Matthew 6:16-18, Matthew 9:14-15, Nehemiah 9:1-3, Acts 27:33-37
